A massive tree collapsed during an Easter egg hunt in northern Germany on Sunday, killing three people including a 10-month-old baby and her mother as high winds battered the region.
The 100-foot tree fell on four participants in woods near Satrupholm, close to the Danish border, around 11 a.m. local time. A 21-year-old woman died at the scene while receiving treatment from first responders, along with a 16-year-old girl. The woman's infant daughter was airlifted to a hospital in Kiel but died from her injuries.
An 18-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to another hospital for treatment. Other participants sustained minor injuries during the incident.
